SkilmNET User Webpages
Each SkilmNET user is allocated space for a website on this server. Some of them choose to take advantage of this and they are listed below:
- Skillman Family Homepage - This is the original website that was hosted on SkilmNET. It is basically a webpage that contains info about my family with a webpage for each family member. Some pictures from family events are posted here as well.
- Pete Skillman - Pete is the SysAdmin for SkilmNET. Being the SysAdmin, Pete takes care of this whole operation. He also gets pretty high billing on the "hosted sites" list since he is that guy making it. As for his site, it's pretty empty since he's busy with the rest of the server most of the time.
- HollarAtYourBoy.com - One of the local guys put together
this website and needed a place to host it. I'm not even sure what it is.
- Dave Lancea - Dave has his own
*nix
machines to play with, but he has a user account just the same. His
webpage here is his actual, main page. I can't help but
feel responsible for introducing him to Unix, and in a way, I'm very proud
of how far he's come ;-)
- Dave French
- BigBlueBusNET - I
tease Dave a lot about how this is
a blatant rip-off of
my Skillman Family
Homepage. All kidding aside, Dave was the first person
to trust me to host
his site. He used to be with BCPL like me, but he let his account lapse. I also let
him do CGI stuff that BCPL wouldn't allow. Dave's site is pretty much his family's
site with his portion having the most content. He has some pretty cool
anime and D&D stuff.
- Rob Ruff - Rob is one of BCPL's famed ILS guys. Rob is quiet and therefore
very dangerous. He's also a Linux guy. He wanted an account to play around with and he
ended up putting up this page that really says everything that you need to know about Rob (that is to say - it used to just be a page with "BABY GOT BACK!!" written in very large letters) .
His real website was here, but now it's here.
- Matt Martin - Another guy who has his primary website with SkilmNET, and another old friend.
Matt has a site that is a little lacking in content, but he's a good man so check it out damnit!
- Phil Skillman - My brother Phil's website. It's listed under the family section, but I figured I'd put a link to it here since it's technically in his user account. It never gets updated, and is pretty much just a list of the stats he's racked up during his football career in high school.
- McIver Nivens - McIver is yet another famed BCPL ILS guy. McIver put up a webpage to play around with HTML. For right now, it's pretty simplistic. McIver isn't as "UNIX Bad-ass" as Rob, but he is definitely getting there. He also has a BCPL webpage here.
- Steve Woolery - Steve is a helpdesk dude at BCPL, so we
created this account to screw around with. The webpage is pretty much a test.
- Andy Martin - Andy is a genius.
He is definitely the best programmer I know, and also an awesome friend.
If you ever want a good game of paintball, or some bacon, talk to Andy.
Being a fellow helpdesk guy, he also has a BCPL webpage here.
- Liz Muhl - Someone I used to work with. She wanted to learn about Unix, so I gave her an account. Not a lot of content
here, just a cute little "first webpage."
